Season 16 of The Voice has been Nominated for an Emmy

Reality-Singing Competeition The Voice has received it's forty-first Emmy nomination. The show was nominated in the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program category, which it has won 3 other times.

American Idol fans will be disappointed to know that their show was not nominated. Hollywood doesn't seem to like this show because it focuses more on the drama and personal stories of the contestants, while The Voice focuses more on showcasing talent.

The Voice Season 16 was also nominated for lighting, technical direction, production design, and casting.

The Emmy Awards ceremony, will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sept. 22. The show will air live on Fox starting at 6 p.m. central/ 8 p.m. ET.
