In case you missed it...
Chris Young has joined the ranks of the country singer bar owners. He's announced that "Famous Friends," named after his hit with Kane Brown, will open in Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood later this year. "I’m very excited for Famous Friends to be open in Nashville! I have been working on this as a passion project for a while now," Young told "Billboard." "A sports bar that will be Nashville famous for a reason. Something completely different where you can bring all your friends for a great time!" While not yet open, "Famous Friends" already has a social media presence Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
There are certain unfortunate things that happen to country performers that immediately earns them admittance into a "club." The "my tour bus burst into flames" club, for example. Or the "fall on your butt while performing" club, that's a popular one. Then there's the one that Riley Green just found his way into, the "get hit by a thrown object while performing" club. This one has actually injured people (see Bebe Rexha), so it's something most performers take very seriously. Riley was playing a show in Melbourne, Australia Saturday when a phone hurled by a "fan" nailed him near the ear, causing blood to run down his neck. The show was paused briefly as stagehands brought a towel, and the jerk was escorted out of the venue. Riley eventually continued the show, and posted some pics of his injury on Instagram.
