The Grand Ole Opry will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the soundtrack for "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" with an all-star evening of entertainment. The 8X platinum album and the accompanying hit film introduced millions to classic country and bluegrass music. On February 28th, Billy Strings, Alison Krauss, Dan Tyminski, Alaskan Sunnyside Sisters, Chris Thomas King (who portrayed guitarist Tommy in the film), Tim Blake Nelson (who starred as Delmar O'Donnell of the Soggy Bottom Boys in the movie), Colin Linden, Del McCoury, Emmylou Harris, Fisk Jubilee Singers, Jerry Douglas, Molly Tuttle, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sarah Jarosz, The Fairfield Four, and The Whites are all scheduled to perform. Tickets for the event are on sale now at the Opry website.
Willie Nelson is one of the artists on the soundtrack to the Amazon Prime series "The Gray House." The series tells the true story of a female spy ring in Richmond, Virginia, that helped the Union win the Civil War. The soundtrack features a number of country artists, including The War and Treaty, Lainey Wilson, Shania Twain and more, as well as Willie, who provides the soundtrack's closing track, "Heart of America."
