When the GRAMMY nominations came out in November, there was one glaring omission that caught fan's eyes: despite a huge year for country music, the genre was shut out in four big categories...Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. There were some that suspected the overall conservative lean in country music may have something to do with that. Talking to "Variety," Harvey Mason Jr., the CEO of The Recording Academy, said he hoped politics didn't play into who got nominated.
Ella Langley had a countdown ticking away on her website. That countdown reached all zeroes on Tuesday at noon ET, at which point we learned the reason for the tease. It was revealed that Langley's second album, "Dandelion," would be released on April 10th. We also learned the title track would drop this Friday. Annnnd...in an Instagram post, we hear Ella's take on the project as well as a quick snippet of the title track. "I’ve thought about this record every single day for the last year and half, and I’m so excited to finally say, welcome to “Dandelion,” she says in a short video clip.
