The Mother's Milk Bank is an organization that most people don't think about, or even know it exist, unless they find themselves needing it. The charitable organization plays a vital role in infant healthcare, ensuring that human milk is available, safe, and accessible when a baby needs lifesaving nutrition or a bridge when mom’s own milk is insufficient. Hardy and his wife Caleigh found themselves in need of the MMB for their own newborn, Rosie. Once they did, they realized the important role the organization plays, and decided to support it in a big way. The couple gave a check of $45-thousand to the Mother's Milk Bank of Tennessee, which Caleigh explains is "here to ensure that families can continue to provide the life-changing nutrients that their most vulnerable ones deserve." Amy Painter, executive director for the organization, said after, "We are thrilled to rename the fund the Rosie Fund in honor of Michael and Caleigh Hardy’s daughter. Their support will directly offset those processing costs which will ease the burden on parents and ensure that access to donor human milk is never determined by a family’s ability to pay."
