Brain Food...Who The Heck Is That?

In 1969, I was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry after releasing three successful albums the previous year. My first appearance on the Opry stage was in 1959, where I sang George Jones' "You Gotta Be My Baby" and received three encores. Who the heck is that?

Ans: Dolly Parton. (To celebrate her 50th anniversary as a member, the Grand Ole Opry planned a week-long event featuring performances of Parton's hits and a concert honoring her bluegrass and Americana roots. Parton herself performed at two of the celebratory events, including an NBC TV special titled "Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Opry.")
