Congratulations to Cody Johnson and his wife Brandi, who have welcomed their third child (and first son) into the world! While the couple have yet to share the news officially on their social media pages, the singer did say on this past weekend's "Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton" that Jaycee Daniel Johnson had arrived on October 21st. He joins his older sisters Clara, 10, and Cori, 8.
Shooter Jennings continues to foster his father's legacy. Already shepherding the release of three posthumous Waylon Jennings albums (the first of which, "Songbird," was released just weeks ago), Jennings has revealed that a documentary about his father's life and career was in development. A fan posted to Shooter on X, "With all the bad movies and documentaries about folks I don’t care about, how about a documentary about Waylon?" Jennings was way ahead of the follower. "There is an official Waylon documentary underway with my good friend Greg Olliver (Lemmy, Chasing Whiskey) directing. Willie (Nelson) was interviewed yesterday. He also filmed all of me finding, preparing and finishing the Songbird (and future) albums." No word on when the documentary will be released.
