In case you missed it...
Texans have something big to look forward to. Recently, George Strait posted a graphic to his socials, along with the caption "An announcement incoming for the Lone Star State." Just a couple weeks ago, he announced a show in Clemson, South Carolina at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, May 2nd. It’s an in-the-round concert that features Cody Johnson and Wyatt Flores as openers. That show caused a lot of excitement for George Strait fans throughout the southeast; stand by for a smiliar response when King George unveils his plans for Texas.
It's been a minute since country star Zach Top has had to audition for anything, but he did yesterday. In a video posted to Instagram, Zach addressed the host of "The Pat McAfee" show. On the show, McAfee (a former NFL kicker) occasionally has college students attempt 33-yard field goals to win tuition money. Zach took that concept and ran with it. "Alright, Pat McAfee. We got a 30-yard field goal set up here, and if I make it I don’t want your tuition money. Just have me on your show. I’m an old, fat, smoking, drinking country singer, and I think you should be proud of me if I make this." After drilling it, he turned to the camera and said, "Have me on your show, Pat." McAfee was eventually alerted to the video, under which he commented, "WHAT A KICK." While that's not exactly an invitation, McAfee is now aware of Top and his field goal kicking prowess, and since McAfee has had many country stars on his show, it seems like a good bet Top will be a guest sooner rather than later. See Zach drill his field goal below...
