In case you missed it...
Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan are teaming up for a killer collab. Recently, the singers both teased a new song, "Old Tricks," on Instagram. How they did it was kinda fun. The post consists of the song playing in the background as a text scrolls by between Rhett and Blake Shelton, as TR lets Blake know that, since he wasn't available, his new song will instead feature someone Blake knows. Before he can tell him who, he makes it a group chat with Horan, which sends Blake off the deep end, as he says, "Let me get this straight. First you steal my last chance at a win on The Voice and now you're stealing my song?" Rhett promises Blake he's gonna love the song, before Niall closes with "Talk to ya later, Dad!" The song comes out this Friday. See the post (and hear a clip of "Old Tricks") below...
Jake Owen is set to release his first independent studio album, Dreams to Dream, on Nov. 7th. The album, produced by Shooter Jennings, features a mix of original songs and covers, including a rendition of Waylon Jennings' "Them Old Love Songs." Described as a foray into old-school country, the album explores personal themes and experiences in Jake's life. A track from the album, a cover of Jerry Lee Lewis' "Middle Age Crazy," will be released soon. Jake will also be performing at various shows and hosting a charity event in November.
