The Mavericks have canceled more upcoming shows as frontman Raul Malo continues recovering from recent cancer surgery. The band called off their Las Vegas show on September 5th and Santa Fe show on September 7th, saying Malo is resting and recovering at home after surgery. However, they expect their September 11th thru the 13th shows supporting Dwight Yoakam to go on as planned. The 60-year-old singer has been battling cancer since revealing his diagnosis in June of last year. He first had surgery to remove a liver tumor in late 2024 and returned to touring early this year, but was hospitalized shortly after. Malo has kept fans updated throughout his cancer journey, recently sharing that he's undergone 16 rounds of chemotherapy and had colon surgery in August. He's also scheduled for hernia surgery in January to repair complications from a previous operation, which will require The Mavericks to take the first couple months of 2026 off for his recovery.
Post Malone launched his new fashion brand Austin Post with a runway show in Paris on Monday. The collection, called "Season One: At First Light," features Western-inspired clothing with cowboy staples like denim, fringe jackets, cowboy hats, and large belt buckles. The show took place at a mansion once owned by fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld and ended with a dramatic finale where a model rode down the runway on a horse. The collection includes denim sets with gold star designs, velvet jackets, and boots made in collaboration with Texas-based Lucchese Bootmaker. Post Malone is currently on his "Big Ass World Tour" and plans to showcase the collection in New York on September 19-20 with his Foundation Collection, which will be based on his personal wardrobe.
