Morgan Wallen keeps setting records, and his name is now being mentioned in the same sentence as some of country's all-time greats. He just set a new record that broke a tie he held with Garth Brooks, Luke Combs...and himself. Wallen's "Lies Lies Lies" will be #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart for the week dated November 23rd. That makes his fifth #1 hit on that chart in 2024...more chart-topping songs than any artist has ever had in one year in Hot Country Songs chart history. Interestingly, this is the first of the five #1's to just be Morgan by himself; His collaboration with Thomas Rhett, "Meemaw's House," was on top for one week back in March. In April, Wallen was back on top with Eric Church on "Man Made a Bar." During the summer, "I Had Some Help" with Post Malone spent four weeks at #1. Wallen and Ernest also spent a week at #1 this past summer with "Cowgirls."
Two talents on one great Christmas track. After meeting on "The Voice," Carly Pearce and Michael Bublé found they wanted to work together on more than just the singing competition. The two came together as Pearce recorded a special appearance as a "Playoff Mentor" for "Team Bublé" that will air in the coming weeks. Outside of "The Voice," the pop star and the country star joined forces on a holiday tune they've both been teasing on their socials for weeks. The result is “Maybe This Christmas,” a song Buble touted as "The Greatest Christmas Song Ever." You be the judge; check out "Maybe This Christmas" below...
