In case you missed it...

Shaboozey, fresh off winning the People's Choice Country Award for new artist and scoring six Grammy nominations, has been announced as the halftime performer for the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears. Known for his breakout hit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," which Spotify ranked among its Global Top 5 Songs of the Summer, Shaboozey has quickly risen in popularity. His performance will take place during the 12:30 p.m. ET game, adding yet another highlight to his breakthrough year. Shaboozey also just became the longest running solo #1 hit in Billboard Hot 100 History.

Blake Shelton and "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan are teaming up for a brand-new televised singing competition. "The Road" (working title) is slightly different from what viewers are used to: the show follows a yet-to-be-announced headlining superstar on their journey to discover the next big artist. Singers will join the headliner on tour, performing as opening acts in various venues. They will compete to win over local fanbases to secure a spot in the next city and remain on the tour. Sheridan emphasizes this isn't clean, pretty Hollywood studios. "No more shiny floors and studio audiences. This is where the rubber meets the road – literally. Get in the van, go to the next town and win the crowd. Do it enough, and you become the next leader. Simple as that." "The Road" has been ordered by CBS to air as part of its Fall 2025 schedule.

Blake Shelton was perfectly happy tending his farm and occasionally creating new television shows. But new music wasn't something that was on his radar...until Post Malone came along. Talking to Lon Helton on "Country Countdown USA," Blake gave him a quick career update. Blake told him, "There’s probably been a million things. I retired from 'The Voice.' Post Malone asked me to sing a duet with him, which came out of left field. That’s probably the reason I got back in the studio to make new music of my own." The song, "Pour Me A Drink," was a huge hit for both Posty and Blake. As far as new Blake music, Shelton is currently at work recording his first album for his is new record label, BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.
