In case you missed it...
The first round of performers for the 2024 CMA Awards has been announced, and it showcases the diversity of Today's Country. Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Sierra Hull, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Ashley McBryde, Post Malone, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, Teddy Swims, Thomas Rhett, Molly Tuttle, and Lainey Wilson will all be performing. Bryan, Wilson, and Peyton Manning will serve as hosts. The 58th Annual CMA Awards airs on Wednesday, November 20th at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
The Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards this morning and it's a little tricky to determine which country artists got the most nominations. Beyonce and her Cowboy Carter racked in 11 nods in both country and multi-genre categories despite her saying the album was not country. Country cousin Post Malone scored a whopping seven and new kid on the block Shaboozey landed six nods. Noticeably absent is Zach Bryan, who reportedly pulled his music from consideration because he wasn't comfortable with how award shows make music competitive.
