In case you missed it...

Nashville songwriter Ashley Gorley is out of sight while others take his songs and make them hits (Kelsea Ballerini's "Hole In The Bottle," Luke Bryan's "Play It Again" to name just two huge examples). He may be largely unknown to fans, but he's just made a superstar move. Gorley is a co-writer of the massive Jelly Roll hit "I Am Not Okay," and he's donated his royalties from what is his 80th country #1 single to "The Onsite Foundation: Creatives Support Network," which provides resources and mental wellness support specifically designed for members of the songwriting community. Gorley’s contribution will take the form of 80 grants for 80 individuals as well as program infrastructure support. For a man who is usually behind the scenes, Gorley deserves a standing "O" for this incredible gesture.

Nothing like screwing up in front of someone you consider a hero. Luke Combs recently told fans at one of his shows that he unknowingly screwed up the lyrics to "Fast Car," and it was the song's writer and original performer, Tracy Chapman, that told him so. Talking about the song's lyrics, he told the crowd, "The last one, it says, ‘We’ve got a make a decision, leave tonight or live and die this way.’ And then it goes into the chorus for the first time...And she said, ‘So when you recorded the song, you said ‘Still gotta make a decision’ instead of ‘We’ve gotta make a decision.’ That was the first time that I knew that I recorded the song incorrectly." Luke went on to say, "I remembered when she said that, I wanted to crawl in a hole...and luckily she was awesome about it." See Luke explain the embarrassing moment below...
