In case you missed it...

One of the many projects Dolly Parton is working on is her life set to orchestral music. We've been talking about it for awhile, but we now know when the massive undertaking will premiere. The multimedia symphonic storytelling experience, "Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony," makes it debut with the Nashville Symphony on March 20th, 2025. In a statement, Dolly said, "The threads of my life are woven together through my songs. That’s why this project, 'Threads: My Songs In Symphony,' is so special to me. It’s all about sharing my music and my musical journey with audiences in a new way. I’m really excited for fans to experience it for the first time with the Nashville Symphony!" As of now, there are 16 dates for the event starting with the Nashville premiere, followed by Ft. Wayne, Indiana (May 17), Pittsburgh (June 17), San Diego (June 29), Cleveland (September 7), Indianapolis (September 18-20), Birmingham, Alabama (October 10), Cincinnati (January 23-25, 2026), Portland, Oregon (February 14-15), Phoenix (March 28) and Eugene, Oregon (May 1).

Where do you put something like this, hang it over the bar? Garth Brooks decided to lay out some money to give his "Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk" a little more "local flair." A couple weeks ago, Vanderbilt University scored perhaps the greatest football win in the school's history, beating top-ranked #1 Alabama. After the win, the students stormed the field, tore the goalpost down in celebration and paraded it three miles through downtown Nashville before throwing it in the Cumberland River. That stunt scored the school a costly $100-thousand fine from the SEC, and to cover that, they decided to auction off chunks of the goalpost. Enter Garth. On his "Inside Studio G" this week, Garth revealed they bought the pads from the goalpost to put in his bar. "It’s going to be in Sevens Club up there. We’ll see how many we can get the guys to sign it." Check out "Inside Studio G" here (CAREFUL! Could contain NSFW Language!). The Vanderbilt conversation starts at around the 10:30 mark.
