This year’s People’s Choice Country Awards are going to be big for Kane Brown. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter has been chosen to receive the 2024 Country Champion Award on Thursday, September 26th on NBC. Brown is known for his community work and received the Boys & Girls Club’s Champion of Youth Award in 2022. He’s not the only one getting special recognition this year; Miranda Lambert will receive the Country Icon Award. Other performers and presenters have yet to be announced, other than host Shania Twain.
A Category Five hurricane is the most powerful kind of storm, so you can imagine what’s in store for fans as Luke Combs’ new Category 10 venue opens in Nashville. Set for a November debut, the joint project between Combs and Opry Entertainment Group will be a 67,000-square-foot facility with room for about 3,000 people inside and out. Category 10 will be divided into five areas inspired by things Luke loves: The Honky Tonk, Hurricane Hall, The Still, the 5 Leaf Clover Sports Bar, and The Eye, a 7,000-quare-foot rooftop venue.
