Wynonna is releasing a double-album, "Back to Wy: Live," and it will be a rather unique live collection. The album will follow the same track listing as her first two solo studio albums, "Wynonna" and "Tell Me Why," with all the songs from those albums performed in a live setting. Of the collection, Wy said, "I wanted to bottle up all of the memories we made on the Back To Wy Tour, so this live album is a gift from me…to you." The album will be available both digitally and as a 2 LP 140-gram set. The collection drops September 6th.
Thomas Rhett has had plenty of musical influence to draw from. His father, Rhett Akins, was a country star in his own right back in the 90s, and Thomas got to know some of his father's friends when he was young, including Tim McGraw and Brooks & Dunn. Rhett also played drums in his father's band as he was finding his own path musically. Part of that path was paved by Eric Church, a musician TR hs always held up as being an inspiration. On Rhett's new album, "About A Woman," which came out Friday, Thomas pays tribute to one of his musical mentors on the song "Church." It's not the first time Rhett has honored Church; in his 2021 song "Country Again," he name checks the country superstar; now he has a whole song dedicated to him. Check out "Church" below...
