In case you missed it...

The nominations for the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards are out. Fans can now vote for their favorite nominees across 18 categories, which have expanded this year to include Female Song, Male Song, Group/Duo Song, Cover Song, New Artist Song and Storyteller Song. Zach Bryan leads all artists with 19 nominations, followed by Beyoncé with 17 and Kacey Musgraves with 15. Hosted by Shania Twain, the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards will air live on Thursday, September 26th at 8 pm ET/PT across NBC and Peacock from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. See a complete list of the nominees here.

There aren't too many more mountains for Luke Combs to climb, career-wise. Tuesday night Luke found out he had done something no other country artist had ever done. As he was celebrating his 5-year anniversary appearance at the Grand Ole Opry, his record label surprised him with five plaques commemorating historic new certifications. Among them were two diamond certifications for "When It Rains It Pours" and "Hurricane," which now join his 2023 diamond certification for "Beautiful Crazy." That gives Luke three Diamond country singles certified by the Recording Industry Association of America - the first time any country artist had achieved that feat. "Diamond certification" is awarded by the RIAA to songs or albums that sell 10-million or more copies.

Post Malone's "F-1 Trillion" album comes out tomorrow, but he won't have to wait long to find out how it will perform. In fact, the album - which, again, isn't out yet - has already reached gold album status in sales. According to Chart Data, Posty's new album already moved more than 500-thousand units, which, according to The Recording Industry Association of America means it has achieved gold status. For an album to reach Platinum, 1-million units need to be moved. Seems like that plateau is almost a foregone conclusion at this point.
