Our question: what would Luke Combs' punishment have been if he'd lost? Luke has been playing in a fantasy football league with some high school friends for the last twelve years - and last year, there were some high stakes they were playing for. Namely, the person who lost would have to perform in concert with Luke. Keep in mind, these guys are not musicians. Adding to the fun: in a scoring quirk, two of Luke's friends tied for last - so both had to pay the price. In Cincinnati this past weekend, those two friends made good. As Luke said from the stage, "We worked a little something up with the band. Now, they didn’t get to pick what song they were going to sing...I want everybody to get a nice at their blue suede shoes, because these boys are about to be walking in Memphis. Come on." With that, the losers - and the band - launched into their version of Marc Cohn's "Walking In Memphis." Check out the video below...
The 2024 resurgence of Sugarland continues. The duo, who reunited with a new single and tour earlier this year, have now announced their first new collection of new music since 2018's "Bigger." A new four-song EP, "There Goes The Neighborhood," will be coming out this Friday. No word on if this is truly new music or music the duo had recorded pre-pandemic, which Kristian Bush had said was in the can back in 2019 - or whether their joint single with Little Big Town, "Take Me Home," is one of the four songs included on the EP.
