Earlier this year, a wedding band in Philadelphia named "Jellyroll" had filed suit against Jelly Roll the country star over rights to the name. That lawsuit has now been settled. In a statement, the band said "Kurt Titchenell, the owner of the Jellyroll Band, announced today that the popular Philadelphia-area wedding and event band Jellyroll (one word) has settled its intellectual property claim against country artist Jelly Roll (two words)." Titchenell added, "The dispute with Jason Bradley DeFord, a.k.a. Jelly Roll, has been resolved, and the legal action has been withdrawn. We look forward to our continued use of the name, Jellyroll Band, in connection with our party band business." No additional details were made available, though it would appear Jelly Roll the singer gets to keep his stage name as well.

It's not a "Florida Georgia Line" situation - a solo album does not mean the band is breaking up. Brad Tursi, guitarist for Old Dominionis releasing a solo album. Of the album, "Parallel Love," Tursi says, "This process was purely creative. I wasn’t even sure I’d release a project, but when I played it for my team, they all reacted really positively. It felt like everything aligned to finally share it." Tursi says the project has the full-support of his bandmates in Old Dominion. The ten-track album comes out July 19th.
