In case you missed it...

With Father’s Day coming up Sunday, we’re running out of time to mail things to our favorite dads and have them arrive on time. But American Greetings has a quick fix with a new line of virtual cards that can be customized and they’ve teamed up with Luke Combs to also include music from his new album. There are six Creatacard greetings to choose from and they can be personalized with photos, video, a special message, liner and stamp, and you can also attach a gift card. Senders can also include a sneak preview of one of five songs from the country singer’s upcoming album, “Fathers & Sons,” including “Huntin’ By Yourself,” “Plant a Seed,” “Remember Him That Way,” “The Man He Sees In Me” and “Whoever You Turn Out To Be.” Luke is in good company here, as American Greetings also has virtual cards featuring country music stars Dolly Parton and Lainey Wilson. "Luke's lyrics are genuine and emotional, and so many people can relate to the stories he tells through his music," said Rob Matousek, Executive Director, Direct to Consumer Business at American Greetings. "Luke's songs in our new Father's Day greetings help elevate the meaning experienced by those who receive them, and we have no doubt these cards will leave a lasting impression."

Count Carrie Underwood as one of the esteemed members of the "Fell On My Butt During A Concert" club - but, she certainly had good reason. Carrie was performing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the Carolina Country Music Festival over the weekend when the heavens opened up and it rained - hard. Carrie wasn't about to give up, crushing her performance despite the elements. It was at the end when Carrie was saying her goodbyes that she walked off the back of the stage and suddenly disappeared out of sight - apparently slipping down some rain-soaked stairs. If her next-day post on Instagram is any indication, the singer is thankfully OK. See Carrie perform in a torrential downpour here - and see her suddenly disappear off the back of the stage below...

Though Toby Keith is no longer with us, his charitable spirit lives on. The numbers from the 20th anniversary "Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic" are in, and the event set a new fundraising mark. The annual event was held May 31st-June 1st, and raised $1.6-million at the event itself, along with $1.5-million in pledges, bringing 2024's total up to $3.1-million dollars. All moneys raised go towards Toby's OK Kids Korral, a facility aimed towards assisting children with cancer and their families.
