In case you missed it...

Jelly Roll has been able to juggle multiple genres in his musical career. Starting out in hip hop, he morphed into a soulful country singer while at the same time managing to find a comfortable landing place in the rock world as well. And while country music has been where he's been concentrating most of his efforts the last few years, his next collaboration may put him back on the rock side of things. Shinedown lead vocalist Brent Smith all but confirmed that a pairing with his band and Jelly may soon see the light of day. "One hundred percent. It might be in the works. I mean, I don’t know. If I say it, it’s probably going to happen," Smith says. "We just have a mutual love for one another and just care so deeply about who he is as an individual and his story." Smith continues, "This man (Jelly Roll) is the real thing on so many different levels. Could not be a more genuine individual. Talented as all get out. I remember when, you know, we brought him out with us in 2022 on tour, there were people that were like, who is, why, like, what is going on here? Who is this? And I’m like, 'Just get ready, man'…I told him (Jelly Roll) too. I said, 'Man you are about to get into the most amazing rocket ship that only you can captain.'" As far as the what and the when of any potential collaboration, that remains a mystery, so we wait and we wonder. In other Jelly Roll news, the singer continues to fulfill his promise to be there for incarcerated youths. Jelly recently helped open a music studio inside the Nashville Juvenile Detention Center, helping fund the studio with a portion of the proceeds from his Bridgestone Arena headlining show last December. Jelly Roll, who spent time in the same Nashville Juvenile Detention Center, performed at the opening event, alongside fellow country artist ERNEST

Every year the "Rock N' Jock Celebrity Softball Game" gets a little bigger, and the roster of celebrities a little more impressive. The charity event, happening alongside Country Music Fest in Nashville, will take place on Monday, June 3 at Nashville’s First Horizon Park. This year’s game will feature players such as Jelly Roll, Riley Green, Sam Hunt, Brett Young, ERNEST, Raelynn, Charles Esten, Mitchell Tenpenny, Chris Lane, Danae Hays, Julia Cole, Warren Zeiders, John Crist, Ashley Cooke, Shawn Booth, and Jeremy Looper. Additionally, Lee Greenwood will be on hand to perform “God Bless the USA” during the 7th inning stretch. The event is held to benefit Folds Of Honor Tennessee, an organization that is raising scholarship funds for America’s fallen and disabled service members and first responder’s families. Kenny Chesney fans have something special on the way. The superstar has decided to release his new album, ‘Born,’ on double-disc vinyl. "I'm lucky. I have fans who still believe in the actual listening experience, starting an album at the beginning and taking the journey of the songs,” says Chesney. ‘Born’ will be released on vinyl on May 24th.
