When you reach a certain level in music, you almost become used to getting props from your peers and fans. But occasionally a moment comes along, a comment or some "flowers" from someone that stands out. Lainey Wilson had just such an experience recently. John Fogerty, Rock N' Roll Hall Of Famer, lead singer and co-founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival and bonafide living legend, was impressed by a recent performance of Wilson's where she did a lively rendition of CCR's "Travelin' Band" - impressed enough that he posted the clip on his Instagram page, with a caption that read, "Such a great cover of ‘Travelin’ Band’ by @laineywilson,” along with a clapping hands emoji. That's huge. Lainey saw the post and chimed in in the comments section. "Heyyy thank ya very much @johnfogerty. One of my all time favorites!" Eric Church's side hustle as a distiller continues. Church and Outsiders Spirits has announced the release of its all-new Whiskey JYPSI Explorer Series. According to Outsiders co-founder Raj Alva, "Our first launch was an ultra-premium product. This next one is going to be more accessible. It’s unique because it’s going to be finished using wood from across the globe. That’s why we called it Explorer.” Almost a year ago, Church and Outsiders launched their brand with the high-end whiskey that was price-pointed at $199 a bottle, but as Alva said, this next batch is more accessible (read: affordable) for whiskey fans. Whiskey JYPSI’s Explorer is priced at $69.99 and is available now in select liquor stores across Tennessee with more markets to follow and online.
Morgan Wallen's new restaurant is hiring. The honky-tonk, called This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen, is looking to hire about 150 people. The one-of-a-kind, six-story venue is set to open sometime this year.
