Most people wouldn’t dare to make a sequel to one of horror’s most legendary movies. But late director George A. Romero wasn’t one of those, and in fact, the “Night Of The Living Dead” genius created a sequel to it that many believe rivals the OG movie. “Dawn Of The Dead” is turning 45 this year, and to celebrate, the 1975 cult classic is getting a re-release in theaters around the US and in Canada. 90 screens around the country will project the movie, which follows the panic that happens in a mall when a zombie outbreak hits. Zack Snyder’s 2004 remake put him on the map in Hollywood, but for many, the OG “Dawn” is the only real one. Theater chain Alamo Drafthouse is hosting the run both in theaters and in drive-ins, beginning on April 12th and running through May 31st. “Shrek 2” is set to come back to movie screens on April 12th for what is being called “a limited engagement” in honor of its 20th birthday.
