Nashville is already making plans for the 2024 CMA Fest, and one of the world's biggest country music festivals has announced the first wave of performers for this year's event. For the 51st year, from June 6th-9th, 2024, the biggest names in country music - and the rising stars - will play across ten stages in four days. Just a few of the country stars performing the Fest: Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and over 100 others. Tickets are now on sale, and if last year was any indication, over 100-thousand country music lovers are expected to descend upon Music City.
It almost seems predestined these two mega-performers would link up. Lainey Wilson has long been a fan of rockers Black Crowes, and now the two have joined forces on a new track. Apparently a chance meeting between the two acts at the 2023 CMT Music Awards was enough to convince the Crowes to bring Lainey on board. "She was such a sweetheart and she was like, 'Oh my god, I grew up listening to the Black Crowes,'" Crowes singer Chris Robinson says of the brief meeting. Lainey left enough of an impression that when the Crowes had a song that needed a little outside help, they asked her and she jumped at the opportunity. The end result?
