In case you missed it...

Beyonce’s next album will be “Cowboy Carter.” The album is expected to release at the end of this month on March 29th. The artist’s Parkwood Entertainment company announced the news via social media. This new project from Queen Bey has her going all in on country music. The music superstar already released two singles for the album, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” “Texas Hold ‘Em” has helped the artist break records…including become the first Black woman to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with a country song! So far, no features have been announced for the album. There are rumors, at least, that Beyonce will cover Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” however! Check her announcement below...

The song hit #1 for Dolly Parton not once but twice - and then was a worldwide smash for Whitney Houston on the pop and R&B charts. "I Will Always Love You" was originally released on March 11, 1974 and went to #1 on the country charts. It was re-recorded and released again as part of the "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" soundtrack in 1982, and again hit #1. Ten years later, in 1992, Whitney Houston recorded it for the "The Bodyguard" soundtrack and it became one of the biggest pop hits in history. Dolly posted on social media to recognize her most-well known composition Monday. "Happy 50th Anniversary to my song, ‘I Will Always Love you.’ It will always hold a special place in my heart as I hope it does yours.” See Dolly's post and enjoy a "through the years" clip of the legend below...
