Friday is Dolly Parton's 78th birthday, and to celebrate (again), the Grand Ole Opry is doing their second annual "Opry Goes Dolly" birthday celebration in the country legend's honor. While Dolly won't be there in person, her presence will be felt throughout the evening as country performers will play Dolly's hits over the course of two Friday night shows. Scheduled to perform are Lauren AlainaTerri ClarkDailey & Vincent, and Don Schlitz as well as special guests Elle KingAshley Monroe and Tigirlily Gold. Two shows (7 pm and 9:30 pm) will be held at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Tickets for Opry Goes Dolly are on sale now at (615) 871-OPRY and opry.com.

"CMT Giants" has been giving tributes some of country music's biggest legends since 2006. The new episode of the CMT series will honor the biggest band in country music history - Alabama. "CMT Giants - Alabama" will be filmed at Belmont University in Nashville, and while the entire list of performers and guests is yet to be released, we do know that Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Evander Holyfield, Jason Aldean, Jamey Johnson, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town, Lorrie Morgan, Luke Bryan, Martina McBride, Old Dominion, Pam Tillis, Riley Green, Sam Hunt, and Vince Gill will gather at Belmont University's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts to film a two-hour television special that will air later this year.
