LeAnn Rimes provided an important reminder to fans that self-care is vital. The singer posted the revelation on Instagram that she recently underwent a surgical procedure to deal with pre-cancerous cells in her cervix. Explaining that she has experienced abnormal pap smears since she was 17, Rimes posted "after my latest abnormal pap smear and colposcopy revealed that i had high grade cervical dysplasia, i consulted with my doctor and we jointly decided that a LEEP procedure would be in my best interest, in order to remove the high grade, abnormal, pre-cancerous cells." She went on: "Early stages of cervical cancer don’t usually involve symptoms, so annual screenings and early detection can be lifesaving...so, ladies, please don’t put off getting your annual pap. my men, too… make sure you get your annual physical, minus the pap smear 😂"

Legendary band Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is calling it a career, at least as far as touring. For nearly six decades, the Grammy Award-winning band has scored massive pop and country hits with songs like "Mr. Bojangles," "Fishin' In The Dark," "An American Dream" and many more. Yesterday the band announced they are embarking on their final tour. March 21st, the Dirt Band will kick off the first leg of their "All The Good Times: The Farewell Tour." They're not going quietly; the first portion of their final trek consists of 31 dates, starting in Bowling Green, Kentucky and running through September 14 in Kansas City, Missouri - a show that will also feature Hank Williams Jr.. Tickets for most shows can be purchased beginning this Friday at 10 am local time.
