We told you last month that Sawyer Brown (with the help of uber-fan Blake Shelton) had a new documentary about their career on the way. They also have a new album coming out ("Desperado Troubadour") produced by Blake. Up to this point we heard one new song ("Under This Ole Hat") but now the band has released a second song from their first album in over a decade. Titled "Get Me To The Stage On Time" (the name of the documentary), the track has the band sounding as if no time has passed since their heyday in the 90's. The full album drops March 8th. It's been an incredible year for Oliver Anthony. From obscurity to viral sensation, he became a new dad and his new-found popularity has led to him rubbing elbows with country stars like Jamey Johnson. 2024 looks like it's going to be just as epic for the young singer from Virginia. On Instagram this weekend, Anthony revealed that he was working hard on his first real album. "Have been in the woods lately writing some songs and petting some dogs. Will be recording my first official album in January," he posted with a picture of some autumn foliage. And in case fans thought he might be getting a big head, he added that the sound and the approach wasn't going to change much. "Going to be recording outdoors, much like the RadioWv session videos you've seen popping up on YouTube recently, but with a few other instruments added." Something to look forward to in the new year!
