In case you missed it...
Reba McEntire is enjoying a career resurgence of epic proportions. Setting aside her new gig as the head of "Team Reba" on "The Voice," the country legend also currently sits atop not one but multiple charts with her latest endeavors. Her new book, "Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots," currently sits at the top of multiple best sellers lists, including the "New York Times," "The Wall Street Journal," "USA Today," and "Publishers Weekly." On top of that, her album of acoustic versions of her biggest hits, "Not That Fancy," currently resides at the top of the Current Country Albums chart. Added bonus: her 1991 version of the Bobby Gentry classic "Fancy" just crossed the 100M streams threshold on Spotify. While most country performers (almost all) that started in the 1970s are long-since retired, Reba feels like she's just getting started.
Fans have already heard a bunch of new tracks from the upcoming Dolly Parton-goes-rock album "Rockstar" - but there are still a lot of tracks that haven't yet been heard. The album comes out November 17th, but if you're one of those that simply can't wait, we have good news. Dolly is taking a page from the Taylor Swift playbook and bringing her big event to the big screen. Fans can hear the entire 35-track album in its entirety, along with seeing exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the country/rock legend at work. The "Rockstar Listening Party" happens the two days prior to the albums release, November 15th and 16th, in theaters across the country. Dolly made the announcement on her socials yesterday. "To celebrate the launch of ‘ROCKSTAR’, I am announcing a first-listen fan event in movie theaters and cinemas worldwide on Nov 15, with select encores on Nov 16! You will hear full songs from the new album for the first time ever and see footage you’ve never seen before. Tickets are on sale now! Go get yours at www.dollyrockstarevent.com. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Music Will and their global partner organizations." See her announcement - along with a not-yet-heard clip of the album's title song - below...
