In case you missed it...
Jelly Roll is back at it. The singer/philanthropist has a little time on his hands, now that his "Backroad Baptism" tour has wrapped. He's just announced on his socials what he's doing with his off-time. "What’s up Nashville and the surrounding areas? I am announcing the coolest thing I’ve ever announced. We are doing the biggest toy drive in Nashville history. We have partnered with Hasbro, we have partnered with Coca-Cola, we have partnered with Metro Nashville even. This is the beginning of a lot more announcements to come. This is just day one of what will be the biggest partnered toy drive in Nashville history. I’m confident that we’re going to do it bigger than it’s ever been done.” "I’m excited to announce I’m partnering with Hasbro, Coca-Cola, iHeart, and Metro Nashville for the biggest toy drive in Nashville history. Buy a toy from this Walmart store and donate it - the first 500 people to donate will get VIP access to see me perform live at the Walmart! The more donations we get the more songs I’ll do for y’all!" The Walmart Jelly was referring to is the newly-opened Franklin, Tennessee Walmart. The toy drive is already underway, and with that kind of announcement, we're sure that a) it's already a massive success and b) those 500 VIP passes are long gone. See his announcement below.
The bounce-back of Toby Keith continues! The country icon announced on his socials that he was scheduling two full-length performances before the end of the year - the first such concerts since he began treatment for his stomach cancer. With a wry sense of humor that belies the severity of his on-going battle, the Big Dog Daddy addressed his fans. “Hey everybody, it's Toby Keith...it's been awhile - you know what I've been doing...been on the ol' rollercoaster...but Almighty's been ridin' shotgun...he's lettin' me drive, for some reason. But...makin' a big announcement. I'm doin' a little deal, thought I'd start in the great Las Vegas." Toby went on to announce two concerts and gave the venue and the dates: Las Vegas' Dolby Live at the Park at MGM on December 10 and 11. "I was going to sit around here and do nothing like I have been, or get up and get outside and don’t let the old man in, you know what I mean?...First time in my whole life I’ve been off over two years. I’ve never been off a year in my life. Through COVID and cancer, the ol’ devil’s been after me a little bit. I got him by the horns right now, so instead of just sitting around and waiting, we’re going to get the band back together." See Toby's big announcement below.
