In case you missed it...
We told you earlier this month that HARDY had cancelled several shows due to "crippling anxiety" - and it go so bad that the singer/songwriter checked himself into a hospital to deal with it. We trust that it's a sign things have improved that the country star was back on stage Thursday night performing for fans in Jonesboro, Arkansas. While on stage, the country singer stopped down to address the situation - why he had to take some personal time, and how grateful he was for the support and prayers he'd received. "I’m going to try to get through this next thing without crying, holy s**t. First and foremost, I want to let everybody know that I’m okay. I’m dealing with some stuff right now and I really hate that I had to do what I had to do last week and cancel shows, but it’s something that I had to do for myself and if you know me, you know how hard that was for me too because I like to work.” It was clear it was an emotional moment for HARDY, and the fans expressed their support as he paused. "I’ve experienced more love and positive words, positive vibes, prayers, thoughts from y’all in the past two weeks than I have ever experienced in my life and with something like anxiety and depression, people are embarrassed about it and I don’t know why because it’s real and it sucks and it’s terrifying. And if anybody in this room has ever truly been through that, I know for a fact that you would agree with me because it’s a very real thing." "I want you guys to know that I’m okay and I’m going to be okay and I’ve been experiencing a lot of anxiety on stage, off the stage…I’m actually having a great time tonight by the way. I’m not going to lie I was really nervous before I walked on the stage and it might hit me some before the show is over. But as soon as I got on this stage, something in my brain said this is what you’re meant to do and you’re meant to be here tonight and just relax and put on a show." Toby Keith must be feeling better. Following on the heels of his performance at the People's Choice Country Awards a few weeks back, Toby was back on stage Friday night - this time joining Jason Aldean at his concert stop in Oklahoma City. Aldean shocked the crowd when he announced from the stage. "There’s only one guy that you kinda think of when you come to Oklahoma City….make some noise for the Big Dawg Daddy, Toby Keith!" The two paired up on Toby's debut single, "Should Have Been A Cowboy," and the fans loved every minute of it. Toby explained to the crowd, "I’m on my rehab tour! If I’m not at my bar, I’m down at Hollywood Corners or I’m on stage with Jason Aldean. The Almighty’s been riding shotgun and my a** is ready to get back to work!” See a clip of the performance here.
