In case you missed it...

After a lot of planning and a lot of building, Garth Brooks' "Friends In Low Places Barn & Honkytonk" in downtown Nashville is almost ready to open its doors - and in fact, the country legend has a huge grand opening celebration in store. Mark the calendar: November 24, the day after Thanksgiving, or "Black Friday." And Garth is celebrating by holding a concert at the brand-new venue. In a statement, Garth expresses his excitement over the opening, which will include a concert at the venue by the G-man himself. "How do you open a Friends in Low Places bar??? With a Garth concert! This is going to be off the chain. Black Friday, brand new bar, in the home of Country Music… Hollywood couldn’t write a better script. I can NOT wait!" he said in a statement. The downside: you can't buy tickets to the show. Fans will have to listen to Garth's streaming station The BIG 615 on TuneIn for a chance at getting in. Hopefully between now and the big day other ways of getting in for the festivities will be made available.

When you're on the road, you look for distractions from the grind. Luke Combs jumped on Instagram to explain something new he's doing, and essentially it's a play on the Ryder Cup called "The Song Writer Cup" - teams of writers will write songs versus each other, Luke will play them in a "mixtape" format, and the fans would vote for the winning songs. To cast your vote, you have to follow Luke on Instagram: "The Song Writer Cup. May the best song and team win. Voting is live on my Instagram story," he captioned the clip explaining the contest. Luke discusses "The Song Writer Cup" below.
