In case you missed it...

Wynonna's career has been on a gradual rise in the last year or so. Fresh off being awarded the Country Champion Award at last month's ACM Honors, Wy announced this week that she would be hosting the Grand Ole Opry's "Christmas At The Opry" special this holiday season. The list of performers joining her is impressive. Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, Adam Doleac, BRELAND, Brenda Lee, Chris Janson, Chrissy Metz, Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Patrick, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Trace Adkins will all be performing in the holiday special. The show taped Tuesday in front of a live audience of country music fans, with the final product airing December 7th at 7 p.m. on NBC before streaming the following day on Peacock.

If people are wondering what your song means, or who it's about - it usually means the song is a smash. Over the years, singers like Carly Simon ("You're So Vain") and Taylor Swift (pick a song) have had fans dissecting their songs for clues as to what - or who - they're singing about. Lainey Wilson has just joined the club. Her recent smash "Watermelon Moonshine," which tells the tale of young love aided by a little bit of sweet alcohol, has fans wondering who the song's about. And not just fans: Lainey's ex's are reaching out to see if perhaps they are the subject of the song's lyrics. Thus far, Wilson has not shared who (if anyone) directly inspired the lyrics to "Watermelon Moonshine." "Every boy I have ever dated in my lifetime thinks this song is about them," Wilson said recently. "'No! Do you not realize I dated other people than you!'" She says even guys she only hung out with for a month or two feel confident she's singing about them. To all them, Lainey has a message: "I'm like, 'Boy, if that butters your biscuit, if that makes you feel good, you're right. I wrote it about ya.'"
