Apple is working on a series that would be part of a revival of King Kong and Godzilla in a live-action universe. No trailer or premiere date yet - but we now have a first glimpse at the upcoming 10-episode series. It's called "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," and it appears to take place after the 2014 Godzilla film left San Francisco in ruins as well as in the 1950s following the early days of the mysterious Monarch group. The series will star father and son team Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell as military leader Lee Shaw at different ages. Take a look at what they're working on here.
Steven Spielberg brought us "E.T.." so this makes total sense: his production company Amblin Television has teamed up with Boardwalk Pictures on a four-part docuseries about aliens. Each episode deals with one extraterrestrial story: strange lights in the sky over small-town Texas; submersible space crafts haunting a coastal Welsh village; an alien encounter with schoolchildren in Zimbabwe and non-human intelligence reportedly interfering with a nuclear power plant in Japan. Netflix will host the series, which is scheduled to visit us on September 27th.
