The song breaks out of a tie with Harry Styles' "As It Was" for the sole longest No. 1 run for a non-collaboration, while overall tying for the second-longest reign in the Hot 100's 65-year history. To set the all time record for most weeks at #1, he's got to stay on top for another month. The current record 19 weeks at #1, held by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus for "Old Town Road." "Last Night" also passes "As It Was" for the longest #1 Hot 100 stay of the 2020s so far - as "Old Town Road" was back in 2019.

He’s teaming up with Lowes for a promotion that includes one lucky fan in Nashville having their backyard decked out in Christmas trees, garlands and inflatables, and being treated to a special acoustic performance by Eldredge. He shares “I love summer, but it's been so hot. I think it was a natural fit for [myself and Lowes] to get together and we're decking the decks. We're basically encouraging everybody to throw a party and get decked up for the holidays and get into the spirit.”
