A passenger on an Air France flight from Paris to Toronto made a revolting discovery recently when he couldn’t help but notice a terrible smell coming from under his seat. To his horror, when news journalist Habib Battah dared to peer beneath the chair – and under his cat carrier – he noticed the floor was soaked with blood and traces of fecal matter. However, when Battah notified a flight attendant, all they reportedly did was tell him that a previous passenger had a “hemorrhoid issue" and offer him gloves and wipes to clean up the mess…plus two free bottles of water and a blanket for the floor. The airline has since put out a statement explaining what happened and adding, “As the flight was fully booked, it was not possible to move the passenger.” As for Battah, he declined Air France’s offer of a $500 voucher and is currently talking to lawyers to bring forth a possible lawsuit.
