In case you missed it...
Summer's comin' - it's just going to be delayed a couple weeks. Just as Clint Black was about to embark on his "Summer's Comin'" tour, he got the bad news from doctors: immediate back surgery was needed. The country legend will be sidelined for about a month, with six dates affected. His first show back from the injured list will be June 24 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The dates affected:
2 – Overland Park, Kansas – Cohen Community Series (NEW DATE: October 27)
7 – Midland, Texas – Midland County Horseshoe Arena (Canceled Appearance – Replaced by Clay Walker)
9 – Catoosa, Oklahoma – Hard Rock Hotel And Casino Tulsa (NEW DATE: December 28)
10 – Round Rock, Texas – Round Rock Amp (NEW DATE: August 4)
16 – Abilene, Texas – Potosi Live (Canceled)
17 – Fort Worth, Texas – Billy Bob’s Texas (NEW DATE: August 5)
Should all go well, the rest of the tour - with the rescheduled dates - should go on as first announced.
Cody Johnson is a bull-rider, so it's safe to say if he'll wrestle with livestock, he'll have no problem jumping down off a stage and take care of some troublemakers. The possibility did arise at a recent show in Virginia, and Cody was ready to play bouncer. Cody stopped down his show at Eaglebank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia to restore order in front of the stage. After a tussle broke out, the singer let everyone know this would not be tolerated. "If you start a fight in this pit I will stop this show and have your a** thrown out. All I did was say ‘Dance your partner, do-si-do’ and we got a fight going on down here. If you wanna fight, take it somewhere else because y’all bump into one of these kids you’ll have me jumping off the stage at your a**." And of course, there's video. This isn't the first time Cody brooked no nonsense at one of his concerts; the singer went viral some years back when he made it quite clear that he wasn't going to tolerate any BS at one of his shows.
