In case you missed it...

He's worked in bars, he's played in bars, and now Luke Combs is taking the next big step: owning a bar! Following in the footsteps of country stars like Miranda LambertJason AldeanBlake SheltonGarth Brooks and many others, Luke Combs announced yesterday that he was entering into a partnership with Ryman Hospitality's Opry Entertainment Group to purchase the legendary Wildhorse Saloon - and rebuild it in his own image. "This is something I never would've dreamed of even two or three years ago," Luke said yesterday. The 69,000-sq ft space is being reconfigured to include a honkytonk, a sports bar complete with odds posted, a high-end bourbon bar, a beer bar, a "Beautiful Crazy" bachelorette space, a 9,000-square foot rooftop area overlooking Nissan Stadium and the Cumberland River, a venue outfitted for 1,500 people - where he hopes artists of all musical genres will want to come and play. Luke has played the Wildhorse numerous times over his career - and the former bouncer will now employ both musicians and bouncers to work in his as-yet-unnamed bar. He estimates the new version of the bar will open sometime in the summer of 2024.

Reba McEntire has announced that she has a new book coming out this fall: "Not That Fancy." And she's bringing a friend along on the project to write the forward - Garth Brooks! Reba took to Instagram to let fans know she'd be on TalkShopLive to discuss her upcoming book and she'd have Garth along for the video chat as well. So what's the book about? In Reba's words: "All in all, I think the secret to a nice life isn’t that complicated. Most of us probably already know it in our bones, and that’s what I want to get back to. Simple fun, hard work, good food, and laughing with those you love. That’s what I’m sharing on these pages - some simple, not-that-fancy truths I live by, and a bunch of good stories, photos, and recipes that go along with them. So if you’re looking to slow down, get back to basics, and have a heckuva lot of fun, then my friend, I think we’re going to have a good time together. So come on in, kick off your boots (or leave them on, I don’t care), and learn how to bring a little bit of my ranch-inspired life into your own." The book comes out this fall - and Reba and Garth's appearance on TalkShopLive is Monday at 7pm Easter/6 Central.
