In case you missed it...

We told you last week that The Band Perry was "(taking) a creative break as a group and each focus on our individual creative pursuits." We now know what those individual creative pursuits are for one member of the trio - Kimberly Perry has announced that she's embarking on a solo career. The lead singer of the trio, that enjoyed breakout success in country music ten years ago before an ill-fated sidestep into the pop realm that saw their career grind to a halt, announced via Instagram that she has fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Nashville, she's been working with noted country songwriters, and has signed a solo recording deal with RECORDS Nashville. And in case you were wondering what type of music she'd be making, RECORDS Founder and C.E.O. Barry Weiss said, "We’re so excited at RECORDS Nashville to welcome Kimberly Perry as a solo artist with her return to country music." Before the band left country music for what were ultimately not greener pastures, they were one of the hottest acts on country radio, with eight straight Top Ten country hits (and four #1's) from 2010-2014.

Congratulations to Maddie Font of Maddie & Tae and husband Jonah - the couple has announced they are expecting their first child! The couple shared happy pics with People magazine and on Instagram yesterday, with the couple holding a sign that read, "Baby Font Due September 2023". The couple have been holding on to the good news since finding out in January - and now they're telling the world. "We are so excited to become parents! We've always wanted babies, so it is surreal that this chapter is beginning for us," Maddie says of her growing family. "We feel so grateful that God chose us to be this sweet little boy's parents!" Maddie and Jonah were married in 2019; the couple first met when they were both 15, as sophomores in high school, and were engaged in 2018. Their happy story gets happier!

John Osborne of Brothers Osborne and his wife Lucie Silvas welcomed twins into the world March 21 - Arthur and Maybelle - and with the babies still in the NICU unit, details have been few, but the couple posted to Instagram yesterday that mom - and both babies - are doing great! "Holding hands and getting stronger by the day," mom wrote alongside the first photo showing the babies faces. In the black-and-white snapshot, the twins are sleeping on her chest, with each sibling's hand outstretched over the other. "Anyone who has had or has babies in the NICU knows how tough it is," Silvas continues. "But I have a feeling Arthur and Maybelle will be coming home soon." The twins were born slightly underweight - Arthur and Maybelle were born at 3 lb, 13 oz and 5 lb, 1 oz, respectively, and they've been in the NICU since they born, but as they continue to put on weight and get stronger - as mom says they are - their departure from the hospital should be soon.
