When the Girls Scouts introduced their limited edition Raspberry Rally cookie, they had no idea it would be such a big hit. The cookie was a raspberry spin on the popular Thin Mint and sold out quickly. Some even ended up on eBay for up to $100 a box. The hiccup turned out to be only offering the new flavor exclusively online. While early selling troops had no problem, areas like Seattle that start selling later didn’t even push the new cookie. The Girls Scouts say they learned about better planning for a new addition to the cookie line and Scouts learned about better communication and, sometimes, how to deal with angry customers.
