In case you missed it...

In a move that shocked the country music industry, superstar Miranda Lambert announced yesterday that she and her long-time record label, Sony Music, are parting ways. In a tweet that explained the situation, Miranda said, "Since I was 19-years-old, Sony has been my home in Nashville. Over the last 20 years together we have released albums that allowed me to share my story with the world, and we've reached heights I never even dreamed were possible. I wouldn't be true to myself if I wasn't constantly looking for the next challenge and a new way to stretch my creativity. With that in mind, I've decided to say goodbye to my Sony family. I can't wait to see what the next adventure holds." With the tweet, Miranda posted a collage of the nine albums she'd released for Sony. "I'm so thankful for our time together and everything they made possible for me," she wrote. No further information was given as to how she would be releasing music going forward, whether independently or with another label.

Lainey Wilson is getting attention for a number of reasons: incredible talent on stage, before the camera (in "Yellowstone") and, thanks to the Internet, for her rather prominent posterior. While she says she was initially taken aback by all the attention her butt was getting on social media, she's decided to lean into it. Appearing at the Country Radio Seminar Tuesday night, the singer broke into rock legends Queen's ode to prominent backsides - "Fat Bottomed Girls." As the song says, "Fat bottomed girls, you make the rockin' world go 'round." Check out Lainey's enthusiastic version of the rock classic here, and you'll have a hard time disagreeing with those words.
