In case you missed it...

Kyle Jacobs, songwriter/producer and husband to singer Kellie Pickler, was found dead Friday at the home he shared with Pickler. His death is being investigated as a suicide, according to police. Police responded to the couple’s home after receiving a call from Pickler’s assistant at around 1:21 p.m. Jacobs was found by law enforcement and fire department personnel with "an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound" in an upstairs room in the Nashville home he shared with Pickler, the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a statement. Pickler reported to police that she woke up that day a short time earlier and could not find Jacobs. She began looking for him, and when she and a personal assistant weren't able to open the door of an upstairs room, her assistant called 911. Jacobs and Pickler were married in 2011. Jacobs was a songwriter and record producer, with songwriting credits for Garth BrooksLee Brice, the Eli Young Band and others. Along with his wife, the two starred in the CMT reality show "I Love Kellie Pickler", that ran from 2015-2017. Jacobs was 49. Jacob's reacted on socials last week to Lee Brice’s 2020 album "Hey World," which he produced and did some songwriting on, going platinum.

Breland had the honor of kicking off the Daytona 500 (and the 2023 NASCAR season) with the National Anthem yesterday. This was the second time in the last few weeks the singer performed the spotlight song at a nationally televised sporting event: he also sang the National Anthem at the NFL Divisional game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants on January 21.
