M. Night Shyamalan’s new horror film “Knock At The Cabin” debuted at number one this weekend at the North America box office, bringing in $14.2 million in its first weekend. Not to be counted out, “80 For Brady” had a healthy debut as well, starting off in second place with $12.5 million.
Both newcomers surged past “Avatar: The Way Of Water” who slipped to third after seven weeks at number one. “80 For Brady” actually sold more tickets than “Knock At The Cabin”, selling 1.3 million tickets versus “Knock At The Cabin’s” 1.1 million tickets.
“80 For Brady” is selling all matinee tickets at a discount, so they’ll have to sell much more tickets to surge past the horror film in the coming weeks.Elsewhere on the chart, “Puss In Boots: Last Wish” continues to perform well in its seventh week, ranking fourth at the North America box office with $7.95 million, and “BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas” debuted at number 5 with $6.3 million.
