Chris Stapleton will be performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl LVII. He announced the news on social media, and country stars have flocked to congratulate him, including Lindsay Ell who enthusiastically commented on his post “I AM HERE FOR THIS.” Stapleton will be joining an already star-studded lineup that includes include Babyface, Colin Denny and Sheryl Lee Ralph. After his performance at the Super Bowl, Stapleton will be join country legend George Strait for stadium tour. Super Bowl LVII is kicks off February 12th.
Carly Pearce, Lainey Wilson and Gabby Barrett are racking up the streams on Country Radio, and have passed an important milestone! The three women are all charting simultaneously in the Top 10 for US Country radio, the first time this has happened since 2020. Barrett’s “Pick Me Up” has reached number four, Wilson’s “Heart Like A Truck” has reached number eight, and Pearce’s “What He Didn’t Do” hit number ten. Pearce reacted to the news with an ecstatic “LETS GO GIRLS” on Twitter. Barret responded in the comments joining in on the celebration “Let’s gooo 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻”.
It’s hard rock meets country rock on Nickelback’s new tour. The veteran band has announced they’ll hit the road with Brantley Gilbert to celebrate their new album “Get Rollin’.” The November album release followed three singles, including “San Quentin,” and has so far topped out at #30 on the Billboard 200 chart. Country star Gilbert also released an album last year entitled “So Help Me God.” Also joining the acts on this tour is country singer Josh Ross, who followed his 2020 debut album “Do What You Love” with two new singles last year. The tour launches June 12th and will make 35 stops throughout North America before wrapping up in Belmont Park, NY on August 30th. Tickets go on sale this Friday (January 27th).
