The family of the late Loretta Lynn is asking for help from country music fans to try to get the state of Kentucky to rename Paintsville State Park in her honor. The family tweeted out a link to the petition requesting the renaming; the petition needs at least 25k signatures before Governor Andy Beshear will consider it. Lynn lived near the park, and her daughter Peggy Lynn Marchetti says she spent time with friends there throughout her life. “She would LOVE this so much,” the tweet reads, adding that “Kentucky, and especially her home area were always in her heart.”
“Saturday Night Live” has set their final three shows of the year, and the episode on December 10th is going to be a good one. Steve Martin and Martin Short are going to co-host the show together, and the musical guest will be Brandi Carlile. It’ll be the second time as a musical guest on the show for Carlile.
