The U.S. Postal Service is looking for volunteers to participate in Operation Santa. The program allows participants to respond to letters sent to Saint Nick, writing back or sending gifts to one or more children that they choose. To sign up you must register online and have your identity verified. Visit U-S-P-S-operation-santa-dot-com for additional information, but sign up fast. The slots usually fill up quickly! If your child wants to write to Santa they can send it here by December 12th: Santa Claus, 123 Elf Road, North Pole 88888.
Also, there's a special mailbox outside of the Moline Public Works building (3635 4th Avenue) to receive letters addressed to Santa! Santa will read and respond to each letter individually so be sure to include a return address. Letters can be dropped off now through November 30th.
