In case you missed it...

Dolly Parton was just honored for her philanthropic work. The singer received this year’s Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy award, which has been handed out since 2001 by the international family of Carnegie institutions. It seeks to honor innovative philanthropists. In an interview ahead of the ceremony, Dolly insists she is not seeking publicity with her good works, such as her Imagination Library, and her donations towards finding a COVID vaccine. "I don’t do it for attention," she said. "But look! I’m getting a lot of attention by doing it." In her acceptance speech she noted, “I just give from my heart. I never know what I’m going to do or why I’m gonna do it. I just see a need and if I can fill it, then I will."

Thomas Rhett wrapped his “Bring The Bar To You” tour this weekend and marked the occasion on social media, thanking his fans, band, crew and openers Parker McCollum and Conner Smith. “The “bring the bar to you” tour officially wrapped last night in Dayton, OH. It has been such an amazing summer/ fall out with this crew!” he writes, adding, “@parkermccollumand @connersmithmusic when y’all are headlining stadiums one day, don’t forget to bring the Ole man (me) along! Haha love y’all!” He adds, “To all the fans that came out. Wow is all I got. Every single night y’all brought so much energy and joy to these buildings🙌 till next year fam!”
