The 2023 Americana Honors and Awards are happening later this month, and the first set of performers have just been announced and include Brandi Carlile, Lucinda Williams, Indigo Girls, Chris Isaak, Lukas Nelson and Allison Russell.  As usual, the award show will take place September 14th at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Other artists set to perform include Adia Victoria, the McCrary Sisters, James McMurtry, Sierra Farrell, the War and Treaty, Morgan Wade, Neal Francis and Phosphorescent. Brandi, Russell and Yola lead this year’s nominees with three each. Meanwhile, Isaak and the Indigo Girls are among this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award honorees. Click here for a complete list.

It’s a sad time for Florida Georgia Line fans. The duo of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley played their final show together earlier this week at the Minnesota State Fair. “You’ve enabled us to chase this crazy dream of writing songs and playing shows and hoping somebody will show up to listen, so thank you, guys,” Tyler told the crowd. “It means the world to us,” calling the moment “the closing of an incredible, incredible chapter.” He added, “It’s very exciting for us to look at what’s ahead, see what’s next. And the next chapter ahead is very exciting, but we wanna celebrate this chapter with you guys.” As for what’s next, both artists are trying their hand at a solo career. Tyler just released the new EP “Dancin’ In The Country,” while Brian teased that he’s also working on a new solo project.
