Amy Grant is recovering in a Nashville hospital after a bike accident on Wednesday. The “Baby, Baby” singer had cuts and abrasions, but was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital and will be released today. She was listed in stable condition. A spokesperson confirms that she was cycling with a friend, helmet on, when she fell. The accident comes two years after Grant had open-heart surgery to correct a then recently discovered defect she had all of her life. Now, her husband, Vince Gill, has canceled several upcoming shows so he can be with his wife. The shows in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tysons, Virginia aren’t expected to be rescheduled.
We know what Lainey Wilson’s family emergency is that caused her to cancel some shows. The singer and “Yellowstone” actress’s dad is in the ICU. Lainey’s sister Janna shared that their father is suffering from DKA, or Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and had to have emergency surgery. He’s in the ICU and "has a very long road ahead." We told you yesterday that Lainey announced she was canceling a pair of Iowa shows due to the family emergency. Wilson has only shared to brief posts about her dad’s situation, with one saying "Folks are praying around the world. Please keep sending them up for my daddy."
